pure philosophy

This is what dpure stands for

holistic approach
  • Optimal oral hygiene from the first tooth is not only important for dental health, but also for the entire organism.
  • Baby teeth are more susceptible to caries because their substance is thinner and less mineralized. Once baby teeth are affected by caries, there is a risk that the permanent teeth will be infected by caries before they even erupt, as they develop in the bone beneath the baby teeth.
  • All of our kids’ teeth should therefore be safely protected and gently cared for without damaging the oral flora or the sensitive mucous membrane.
  • The dpure formula consistently avoids aggressive and harmful ingredients and uses as few high-quality ingredients as possible.
Know how!
  • The range of children's dental care products can seem opaque and can cause parents and children to be uncertain about the best product choice. The age recommendations and fluoride amounts are also sometimes inconsistent.
  • Current scientific studies on caries prevention show that fluoride works best when it is regularly applied to the tooth surface in the right amount.
  • Since 2011, there have been uniform recommendations from the relevant professional associations regarding dental care from infancy onwards.
  • Since 2018, several professional societies, including the German Society for Preventive Dentistry and the German Society for Pediatric Dentistry, have been calling for smaller tube openings in children's toothpastes to allow the application of rice-grain-sized amounts.
Exact dosage only with us

RICE GRAIN OR PEA:

  • From the first tooth onwards, the professional associations recommend brushing the teeth twice a day with a rice grain-sized amount of fluoride toothpaste containing 1000 ppm* fluoride. From the age of 2, a pea-sized amount should be used twice a day.
  • From the age of 6, a pea-sized amount of toothpaste with a maximum of 1500 ppm* is recommended twice a day.
  • It is almost impossible to accurately dispense a rice grain-sized amount from conventional toothpaste tubes. With the patented dpure dispenser, even the smallest amounts, such as a grain of rice, can be dosed easily and precisely.

*ppm stands for “parts per million”

Science or…
  • Evidence-based studies form an important foundation of modern medicine.
  • Doctors, dentists, patients and consumers can assume that the results from such studies are safe and reliable.
  • Countless studies of this kind have shown that fluorides provide excellent protection against tooth decay. Together with calcium from saliva, they form a poorly soluble calcium fluoride layer on the tooth surface and are deposited in the tooth structure, which hardens the tooth.
  • The sodium fluoride contained in the dpure formula is a naturally occurring mineral that helps protect teeth from tooth decay.
…advertising promises
  • There are no equivalent research results for other active ingredients.
  • Toothpastes are cosmetic products where advertising promises do not have to be kept.
  • Hydroxyapatite cannot protect the tooth from caries either. It dissolves due to the acids produced by the caries bacteria. And it is precisely these acids that attack the tooth enamel. Demineralization occurs and caries begins.
  • Hydroxyapatite (nano) is only considered safe in a concentration of a maximum of 10% in toothpastes and a maximum of 0.465% in mouthwashes. And this only applies if the particles are uncoated and rod-shaped. Long-term effects are also unexplored.
  • Don't panic: Fluoride is one of the most thoroughly researched active ingredients. Around 300,000 studies show that, when taken in the correct dosage, it does not have a negative effect on health, but can actually reduce the risk of tooth decay.
  • Using fluoride in the correct dosage is easily possible with the innovative dpure packaging.
